Medical Research Coordinator in Portsmouth, Iowa

Description of Job: We are a five-physician nephrology practice based in Portsmouth, starting to participate in medical research projects involving patients with kidney disease. We are seeking a part-time, motivated, organized professional for our Research Coordinator position. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities associated with research projects, including planning potential projects, recruiting patients, collecting patient data, and performing administrative tasks associated with the study. He/she will serve as the principal administrative contact for the project, for both regulatory agencies and for subjects.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates should have some medical background (nurses are welcomed, but a nursing degree is not necessary), and have at least a Bachelors degree. Some medical research background with experience helpful, but not necessary.
